Always liked this version of Charizard. I like doing these Pokemon projects in between larger projects to just relax and sculpt something without thinking too much about the design. Always a good opportunity to practice different things and test stuff out.
Got to test some terrain techniques on this and learned Natron for compositing. Also had some fun with lighting and atmosphere : )
Generally I try not to go over a week of production time on these, the model is just a decimated sculpt from ZBrush with polypaint and then some additional shader work in Blender (for color variation and such), rendered with Cycles-X, composited in Natron.
